It is a frozen tundra up here in Michigan!!! but very beautiful. We got about a foot of snow the other day and it has been so cold that it is just not going away. Today it is so sunny outside and looks warm until you step outside where it was -2 at mid-day when I took the girls to the doctor. Gidget is the only one that usually loves the cold, but I don't think even she likes it this cold. She goes out and comes right back in. She also pretty much sinks in the snow.
We went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago and they sent us home with a goal of trying to get Tatum to gain some more weight. She had not gained even a pound since she was 2 months old and put her in the 25 percentile. It was hard to tell how much she was really eating b/c of spitting up so much and not eating well because she was squirming around so much from gas. The doctor had us start giving her a bottle of formula a couple times a day and some rice cereal. It took her a while to get use to the cereal, but the bottle was easy for her once we found a formula that didn't upset her stomach. We are glad to report that she gained a pound from the visit two weeks ago and she seems to be doing much better with spitting up.

So cold! Hope Tatum gets better. We had Jude on Similac Sensitive for reflux and upset stomach. Found the same in Target brand for half the cost. Jude never noticed the difference as he did with the others that we switched around.
Sounds like the only way is up from here :) Good luck and stay warm.
Yay for rice cereal!! It is the best!
And I am a big fan of Target or Walmart brand formula. Charlie was on lactose-free formula -- both Target and Walmart brands did great (and were half the cost!)
Sounds like Tatum and Kara could be twins. Kara refused to gain weight prior to 6 months of age too - she just refused to eat!
Kara is still small, but is slowly catching up. I'm sure Tatum will too in time. It's tough to believe that while you are in the midst of it though - hang in there!
I'm glad Tatum's gaining weight again! YAY!
